A new way of honoring life.
Memorials with heart and soul you’ll truly want to be part of.
Hello, my name is Miranda. I am a traveling Celebration of Life officiant based in New Mexico.
I transform death into meaning, one life, one story, at a time.
I create personalized, healing ceremonies that symbolize your loved one’s life, and the significance they have on yours.
What is a funeral celebrant?
The Benefits of a Celebrant
I help organize the service from beginning to end, which alleviates stress on you and the family
I listen to the needs of the family while honoring any wishes your loved one requested
I write a personalized eulogy and lead the ceremony
As we plan the ceremony, I can offer creative ideas, rituals, music, and readings that will uniquely honor your person
As a celebrant, I honor all lives. Regardless of age, gender, race, or manner of death I believe every life deserves to be recognized
I am ideal for families or individuals who are spiritual, but not religious. Or for those with secular beliefs
The death of a loved one is the hardest of all burdens to bear…and sometimes it never really makes sense.
Perhaps its purpose is to break our hearts wide open so that we might love more deeply, forgive more freely, and truly appreciate every single moment of this beautiful life.

“On the Death of the Beloved” by John O’ Donohue is dedicated for May 2026.
“On the Death of the Beloved”
Though we need to weep your loss,
You dwell in that safe place in our hearts,
Where no storm or night or pain can reach you.
Your love was like the dawn
Brightening over our lives,
Awakening beneath the dark
A further adventure of color.
The sound of your voice
Found for us
A new music
That brightened everything.
Whatever you enfolded in your gaze
Quickened in the joy of its being,
You placed smiles like flowers
On the altar of the heart.
Your mind always sparkled
With wonder at things.
Though your days here were brief,
Your spirit was alive, awake, complete.
We look toward each other no longer
From the old distance of our names;
Now you dwell inside the rhythm of breath,
As close to us as we are to ourselves.
Though we cannot see you with outward eyes,
We know our soul's gaze is upon your face,
Smiling back at us from within everything
To which we bring our best refinement.
Let us not look for you only in memory,
Where we would grow lonely without you.
You would want us to find you in presence,
Besides us when beauty brightens,
When kindness glows
And music echoes eternal tones.
When orchids brighten the earth,
Darkest winter has turned to spring;
May this dark grief flower with hope
In every heart that loves you.
May you continue to inspire us:
To enter each day with a generous heart.
To serve the call of courage and love
Until we see your beautiful face again
In that land where there is no more separation,
Where all tears will be wiped from our mind,
And where we will never lose you again.

Miranda gave the eulogy at my husband of 42 years’ memorial service at Berardinelli Funeral Home in Santa Fe in November 2024. She was recommended by the funeral home. What a gift to me and my family to meet and get to know Miranda in the relatively short time we had leading up to the memorial service. Miranda is gifted and exceptional at drawing out the essential details of a person’s life, threading that information into a compelling story, and creating a memorable testament to my husband’s life. She included my husband’s children from prior marriage into the service which was much appreciated and effective. Don’t hesitate to bring Miranda into your life. I and my family wholeheartedly recommend her.

When my father passed away, I was met with so many responsibilities and difficulties. It is not an easy task to schedule a funeral service while dealing with loss. Thankfully I met Miranda. Miranda was kind, respectful and understanding toy family and I. She went about and beyond when speaking with us about my father and writing his Ulogy. The Ulogy beautifully represented my father and the amazing life he had lived. I am truly thankful for Miranda and her services. She helped me honor my father. I wholeheartedly recommend her services. She really cares and has so much love to offer!

Miranda helped me prepare a service for my brother who had been deceased for several years, but had never been honored. It was now time to recognize him and help us all come to peace with his life and death. Miranda helped me plan a ceremony in such a sensitive manner, gently leading me through the process. The information she gave me about the elements of a ceremony (I had never planned one before) and particularly the role and function of the eulogy were invaluable. Because of her support, I was able to plan a ceremony, and write and deliver a eulogy that was very special for me and my family. I felt as though the service helped the whole family heal from the loss of our brother. I cannot emphasize enough how comfortable Miranda made me feel; her empathy and kindness was so heartwarming. I am so grateful for all of her knowledge and support through this challenging time.

Miranda is truly one of the kindest, most compassionate people I have ever met. We found her via referral from a funeral home when we were struggling to find someone to assist with our Mother's graveside service. We were so lucky she was available on short notice and willing to travel to Los Alamos from Santa Fe. Miranda took the time to get to know us, our family and most importantly our mother. She listened, asked questions and incorporated everything we spoke about into the eulogy. She suggested a few additions to the ceremony which made it special and I truly believe our mom would have loved her. Miranda is beautiful inside and out and she will forever hold a very special place in our hearts. We would not hesitate to recommend her for any service.

We hired Miranda to present a beautiful memorial and eulogy. We were so happy with her services. The eulogy was beautifully written but once it was presented, it meant so much more. Our guests commented on how great the celebration of life was and that was thanks to her work. We thank her for creating a lasting memory that we will cherish and that honors our family member in the best possible way.
